Danish superduo SUBNESIA presents new single HISTORIA DEL AMOR, strapping Spanish guitar and exquisitely fabulating vocals by Charlotte Caluwaerts into the vessel of a smacking downtempo beat.
“In life the potential for something great is often revealed in small changes, happy accidents, little turns of fate,” says Michael Rune, producer and saxophonist. “A saxtheme is changed to a guitar-theme, and a song is born. Or you’ll bump into someone on the street and instantly know you’ll want to spend the rest of your life with them. This is what ‘Historia del Amor’ is about.”
Alongside DJ and producer Anders Ponsaing, Rune makes up one half of the new Danish duo Subnesia. Together they seek out a bold and melodic sound combining solid electronic beats with acoustic, organic layers. The music is daring and confident, taking shape from free-floating singular ideas rather than a central
prescript.
‘Historia del Amor’ comes as the sixth release in a run of singles that will culminate in a debut album
